Our mission is to celebrate live music, support diversity, highlight local talent, uplift Uptown’s small businesses, and create meaningful experiences that bring people together.
Uptown Sound was created to reflect the spirit of Montclair through an inclusive, community-driven festival featuring a wide range of artists, performances, local businesses, food vendors, and community organizations.
From local musicians, to Latin artists, to inclusive performances featuring musicians with disabilities, we are committed to creating a space where everyone feels welcome, represented, and connected. Through music, art, culture, and community, we hope to create experiences that unite people and continue strengthening the heart of Uptown Montclair.
We are currently in the process of obtaining our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and have already received incredible support from local organizations including Montclair Film, Radio Free Montclair, Latinos of Montclair, and The Montclair Pod. What started as a small community idea has quickly grown into something much bigger powered by local volunteers, local businesses, and a shared love for Montclair.
